Frequently asked questions

Which personal data does AI-School process in the application?

Names, email addresses and student numbers of students and staff. AI-School does not share this data, not even with the AI models. Chats are sent anonymously to the AI models and therefore cannot be linked to the sender.

Is personal data shared with subprocessors, and is that safe?

If personal data is entered in an AI prompt, that data is sent to providers of AI models, such as Google, OpenAI or Claude. These companies handle the data confidentially and securely. Chat data is not used for training and is deleted after 30 days.

Has a data processing agreement been concluded with the AI model providers?

A physical, signed data processing agreement has been concluded with OpenAI. The other models use standard data processing agreements. These have been reviewed by the data protection officer and comply with the GDPR.

Is data processed outside the EU?

Yes. Several subprocessors are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

With a background as a teacher and ICT and education policy adviser, he has the perfect basis for this.
