AI-School attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this Privacy Statement we provide clear and transparent information about the data we collect and why we collect it. We mainly collect your data to give you access to the AI-School application through your school environment. When processing personal data, we observe the applicable privacy laws and regulations.

AI-School is regarded as the controller for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation. This privacy statement applies to all data processing carried out by AI-School and to all websites managed by it.

AI-School may process your personal data if you visit our website or log in to AI-School through our website. We only store and process personal data that is provided directly by you or where it is clear upon provision that it is provided to us for processing.

Depending on the purpose, we may collect the following data:

  • Chat history

Legal basis for data processing

We therefore process your personal data only on the basis of a legal ground:

AI-School provides the data only to parties involved in the performance of the agreement between you and our organization or when a legal obligation requires us to do so.

Agreements have been concluded with all these parties specifying which activities may be performed on behalf of, and under the authority and instruction of, AI-School. Retention periods

We will not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes described in this privacy statement.

AI-School applies, among others, the following retention periods:

  • Application data: 4 weeks, with consent 12 months.
  • Contact details: 3 years after the end of the agreement or the last contact moment.
  • Information requests, complaints: 3 years after handling your request or complaint.
  • Transaction data: 5 years, including products and services purchased.
  • Financial data: 7 years in accordance with the applicable statutory period.
  • Chat history: 3 months for chat messages, lessons/groups until the end of the school year.

Security measures

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, unlawful use and access to your personal data by unauthorized persons.

AI-School does this, among other things, through the use of passwords, a password policy and password encryption. These security measures are regularly tested for vulnerabilities by a professional third party and are supplemented or tightened where necessary. We also use an SSL connection (or HTTPS) for our website to secure data exchange through the website.
