Assistants
AI-School no longer distinguishes between personal assistants, roles, and shared assistants. Everything is now called an assistant. You always first create an assistant for yourself and then optionally decide with whom you share it.
Assistants
With assistants in AI-School you can prepare a recurring task, fixed workflow, or specific form of guidance. An assistant can, for example, help with lesson planning, language teaching, feedback, explanations of documents, or a spoken practice conversation.
Assistants, lessons and workflows
AI-School uses one consistent Angular Material design for cards, buttons and alignment, including dark mode.
Tracking Changes
AI-School features an advanced change tracking functionality for chat messages. With this feature, you can view all versions of an answer, mark differences between versions, and edit and refine answers.

Workflow Assistants
Workflow assistants are an advanced form of AI assistants in AI-School. Instead of an open-ended conversation without a fixed structure, the user follows a defined sequence of steps guided by the AI. This makes it possible to automate complex, multi-step processes — such as a complete lesson from start to finish.

Creating documents
With Text to document you can create a document from the chat. Choose a free document when the AI may design the layout in HTML and CSS, or choose a document template when a Word template with fillable fields has been configured.
Audio Transcription & Meeting Notes
AI-School can turn audio recordings into text and create meeting notes from the transcript. Transcription uses the provider from the central model catalog, such as OpenAI or European AI. When you start, choose whether the recording is for personal use, a meeting, or a lesson/presentation.
Coding with API Keys
With a Coding API key you can use programming tools that work with an OpenAI-compatible API. The tool sends requests to AI-School. AI-School checks the key, the budget, the validity period, and the allowed models.
Installing and Using Aider
Aider is an AI pair-programming tool for the terminal. AI-School recommends Aider for coding with students, because the tool is explicit in its actions and less agentic than many other coding agents.
Install and Use OpenCode
OpenCode is an agentic coding tool. The tool is available as a terminal application, desktop application, and IDE extension.
