Tools

AI School has various tools that the AI assistant can use to help you with specific tasks. These tools expand the AI's capabilities with external functions such as creating images, searching the internet, and retrieving weather information.

Tool Settings​

Each tool can be configured with three different settings:

  • Auto: The AI automatically decides when to use the tool (recommended)
  • Enabled: The tool is always available for use
  • Disabled: The tool is disabled and not used

Available Tools​

Create Image (generate_images) 🎨​

Create images based on your descriptions. This tool is perfect for making illustrations or images. The AI interprets your input and creates two suitable images.

Status: Critical tool - default enabled

Generate Practice Questions (generate_quiz) 📝​

Automatically create practice questions about a specific topic. Enter a text or theme, and the AI will create relevant questions. This is ideal for students who want to practice for a test.

Internet Search (internet_search) 🌐​

Perform internet searches to find current information. This tool helps you find news, facts, or background information on almost any topic. The AI selects the most relevant results based on your question.

Status: Critical tool - default enabled

Search Images (search_images) 🖼️​

Search for images on the internet based on a search query. This tool finds relevant images that match your search term and displays them directly in the chat. Useful for visual support with your questions.

Status: Critical tool - default enabled

Get Weather (get_weather) ☁️​

Request the current weather forecast for a specific location. Helpful for planning your day or trip, so you're not caught by surprise.

Check AI Content (detect_ai) ✅​

Check if a text has possibly been generated by AI. This tool analyzes the writing style and structure of a text to assess whether it was written by a human or an AI model. Useful for evaluating the authenticity of content.

Extended Tools (default disabled)​

The following tools are available but disabled by default. These can be manually enabled if desired:

Search Wikipedia (wikipedia_search) 📚​

Search Wikipedia for information on various topics. Get access to encyclopedic knowledge, historical facts, biographies, and more. The AI helps you quickly find the right Wikipedia pages based on your search term.

Google Routes (google_routes) 🗺️​

Plan routes and get directions. Enter a start and end point and receive the best route, travel time, and traffic information. Ideal for planning trips by car, public transport, bicycle, or on foot.

Google Places (google_places) 📍​

Find information about specific locations and businesses via Google Places. Search for restaurants, shops, attractions, and other interesting places nearby or at a specific location. Get details like address, opening hours, and phone numbers.

Wolfram Alpha (wolfram_alpha) 🧮​

Get answers to complex questions and perform calculations with Wolfram Alpha. This tool specializes in mathematics, science, technology, and data analysis. Enter your question or calculation and receive a detailed, expert answer.

Critical Tools​

Some tools are marked as "critical" because they are essential for an optimal user experience:

  • Create Image: For visual content creation
  • Internet Search: For current information
  • Search Images: For visual support

These tools are enabled by default and recommended to keep active.

Tool Configuration​

Administrators can adjust tool settings in the management environment. The default configuration is optimized for most use cases, with most commonly used tools set to "auto" and advanced tools disabled.
