System Prompts

Through System Prompts you determine which fixed instructions the AI receives at every new chat. The prompt is not visible in the conversation but directs tone, explanation style, target audience, and content frameworks, among others.

Two Tabs​

On Environment you set the base prompt for all employees and students. On Schools and groups you only add exceptions where additional context is necessary. This keeps the overview compact.

  1. Choose Add School Exception.
  2. Select the school and open Set.
  3. Optionally choose Load Groups to add a group exception.
  4. Fill in only the prompt additionally needed at that level and save.

The server combines prompts from general to specific:

  1. the built-in default prompt;
  2. the environment prompt;
  3. the school prompt;
  4. for students: the group prompt;
  5. an optional personal system prompt.

A lower prompt does not replace the higher prompt. Use the environment level for fixed rules and exceptions for local context.

Prompts per Role​

  • Employees: teachers, administrators, and other employees. For them, environment and school are combined.
  • Students: for them, environment, school and group are combined.

With View Default System Prompt you see the built-in prompt. With Use Default Prompt you reset the current input to that text. If a field is empty, AI-School automatically uses the default prompt.

Example​

First explain concepts simply and then work towards technical language.
Give hints and thought steps with assignments, but not directly the full answer.
Reply in Dutch.

Always test a change in a new chat; existing chats may have already started with older context.
