Microsoft Teams
The Microsoft Teams integration allows the AI to access Teams messages, channels, and help you communicate with colleagues.
Capabilities
With this integration, the AI can:
- 💬 Read messages - View chats and channels
- ✍️ Send messages - Post in channels or chats
- 🔍 Search - Find specific conversations
- 👥 View teams - See teams and channels
- 📋 Summarize - Create overviews of discussions
Setting Up
Step 1: Enable the Integration
An administrator must first enable Microsoft Teams in the admin panel:
- Go to Admin Panel > Integrations
- Enable Microsoft Teams
- Configure which actions are allowed
Step 2: Connect Your Account
As a user:
- Open the Settings in AI School
- Go to Integrations
- Click Connect next to Microsoft Teams
- Log in with your Microsoft work account
- Allow the requested permissions
Usage Examples
Once connected, you can ask the AI:
- "What messages are in the 'Marketing' channel?"
- "Summarize today's discussion in the team"
- "Send a message to the 'General' channel"
- "Search for messages about the deadline"
- "Who sent the last message in this chat?"

Organization Admin Required
Microsoft Teams integration often requires approval from your organization's Microsoft 365 administrator.

Best Practices
- Be careful with sensitive channels - The AI can read what you can read
- Check messages - Verify AI-generated messages before sending
- Respect channel culture - Use appropriate tone
Limitations
- Private chats require individual consent
- Some organizations have extra restrictions
- Files in Teams are not automatically accessible (use SharePoint)
Troubleshooting
Can't Connect?
- Check with your IT admin if Teams integrations are allowed
- Verify you're using the correct Microsoft account
- Try logging out and back into Microsoft
Messages Not Visible?
Only channels and chats to which you have access are visible. Check your Teams permissions.
